SCDC got National level permit micro finance operational certificate. 

Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha a regional level non-governmental organization (NGO) located in Choharba, Siraha in Sagarmantha zone under Eastern Development Region of Nepal. It is emerged as a result of the commitment displayed by development young professionals and social workers having long experiences in rural community development. The organization was established with sole aim to create social justice and empower vulnerable people for their quality of life. SCDC is functioning to capacitate poor men and women, disadvantages groups Dalit, indigenous, and marginalized ethnicities and children increase their capacity in natural resource management, socio-economic development, livelihood promotion; and micro-financing.

Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was established and registered in Local Administration Office, Siraha, Madar in 1994 (Reg. No. 15) and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC) affiliation No.: 1295 (1994), NGO Federation Sirah Chapter and registered in Inland Revenue Office, Siraha with (PAN No.) respectively. It has a head office in Choharba, Siraha, and a Regional Office in Biratnagar and field office in project districts. The head office performed the coordination, linkages, and liaison and programme/project supports, fund brokering and networking with donor, GOs, bilateral, multilateral; and INGOs and facilitate to regional and field office for execution of projects. SCDC has been consistently involving in project development and execution in coordination with GoN (DDCs, VDCs and LAs), I/NGOs, bilateral and multilateral agencies on various dimensions ranging from social mobilization and institutional building, livelihood promotion, micro-financing, entrepreneurship development, agriculture, food security, livestock and forestry, community health, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), renewal energy, good governance, gender and social Inclusion (GESI), human rights and peace building; and disaster mitigation.

This Strategy is a reflection of major learning of Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha social mobilization, micro-finance, WASH, community and reproductive health, agriculture, natural resources management and livelihood promotion and entrepreneurship and good governance since last 20 years in Nepal. The knowledge has offered a solid path to Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha programme development and transfer knowledge and skills to rural communities for improve their livelihood and contribute GoN poverty reduction agenda and millennium development goals (MDGs) too.

This is a five year long strategy paper (2015 to 2019) and its target audiences are Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Programme and Projects, its collaborative partners, DDCs ,LAs, VDCs, CBOs, I/NGOs, development organizations and private service providers in Nepal – national level and local bodies, community based organizations and non- state actors.
